In 1972, Kohler introduced “The Man’s Lavatory,” a generously sized, deep-sloping basin designed as the ideal shampooing and shaving center.

The Lady Fair launched in 1968 and was marketed as a shampoo basin with its swing-away faucet spout and spray arm, as well as a vessel to bath a baby with its gently sloped side to rest the child’s head, some customers even preferred it in the laundry room as a spacious basin to hand wash delicate garments.
The Lady Fair starred on the popular nationally televised game show “Let’s Make A Deal” game show hosted by Monty Hall in 1969, as one of the giveaway products offered to costumed contestants.
The Man’s Lavatory, the perfect shampooing and shaving center debuted in 1972 with its generous size and deep sloping basin accommodated increased splashing with decreased water finding its way to the countertop or floor.
The rugged cast iron, self-rimming sink was easy to install and available in several masculine colors – Black Black, Grey, Swiss Chocolate, Expresso and Sequoia. Personalized fittings to enhance the grooming center included shampoo spray and soap-lotion dispenser and swing-away faucet spout.
